STANLEY 2006 – TIME

Chariot racing, medieval jousting, and a World War II battle re-enactment with a synchronised flyover by a Spitfire and a Mustang were among the afternoon entertainments. Shooglenifty and other folk bands provided the music.
Man’s mission to fly to the moon was simulated by Blast, and Michael Lakin produced another astonishing firework display in the evening – 360-degree and accompanied by quadraphonic sound – believed to be the first time this has been achieved in this country.
